Wonkette Falls Asleep At The Keyboard Reviewing Barbara Boxer’s Novel
“Conservatives like to charge that liberals have no new ideas. Unfortunately, (Senator Barbara Boxer’s novel) “A Time to Run” seems to prove them right.”
- Ana Marie Cox, aka Wonkette, in the New York Times Book Review today.
The usually acerbic Cox lets the Senator’s effort off easy compared to some other reviewers.
We do get a turgid quote from the book describing how one of the male protagonists sees a woman and is “mesmerized by her perfectly shaped, silken legs with kneecaps that reminded him of golden apples.”
Apples? Kneecaps? It sounds like Boxer doesn’t understand about 45% of the population, and it’s not Republicans … it’s heterosexual males!
