When a Camel Toad is a Camel Toe

Independent Sources has to admit that when we received the “Camel Toad” email (for the 10th time) we were pretty sure it was a fake. The set-up is that a naive godmother comes across a letter written by her godson where he keeps referring to what she thinks says “Camel Toads.” She doesn’t know what this means and sends off a query to a newspaper columnist “Ask Leslie“. The slightly less clueless columnist then informs said lady and all readers that the lad was in fact writing about “Camel Toes”.

The setting set up is so ridiculous that we had it pegged as an urban legend, but just in case we popped over to Snopes who surprised us by saying that it was in fact true. Which goes to show you that you never really know.

For those readers who think that this posting was a cheap attempt to get the gazillions of people searching “camel toe” on Google, please note that we didn’t even post a picture. We do, in fact, have standards.
