Concern Grows over fate of famed blogger

8763 Wonderland

Roger Jacobs is part writer, part blood hound. He picks subjects that are compelling and topical–and sometimes dangerous. He’s gotten death threats which he brushes off as cost of doing business or a side effect of living on the edge. His most popular regular feature is “8 Million Ways to Die” which covers unusual or unexplained murders in Los Angeles. Roger has now disappeared and his site is blank. Do we now make that 8 million and one?

It’s possible that he’s gone under deep cover and it’s possible that his site is simply down for “technical reasons.” But it’s also possible that…

…well, you get the idea.

    Rodger Jacobs Says:

Rest assured that Nigerian scammers aren’t chasing me with bloodhounds through the hills of Glendale, nor am I busy dumping a newborn behind a dumpster in the alley behind the Alex Theater. I am, alas, having server problems that will hopefully be cured soon.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

Which beckons the question, how do we know this is Rodger and not the people holding him? Personally, I’d like to see a picture of him holding up the LA Times or better yet, reading today’s Independent Sources.
