Village People Cop Busted (again)

This was the original arrest last July:

Victor Edward Willis, the original policeman in the 1970s music group the Village People, was arrested by real police who allegedly found a gun and drugs in the former star’s convertible, authorities said.

Police found traces of cocaine and other drug paraphernalia when they searched his home at the Franciscan Mobile Home Park in Daly City, where two American pit bull terriers were locked in the former star’s bedroom.

Pit bulls, drug paraphernalia, mobile home? You can’t make up stuff that this good. He really is the Village Idiot.

Unfortunately for Officer Willis (but fortunately for humorbloggers) he failed to show up in court as scheduled and thus there is now a new warrant out for his arrest.

No word on whether he’ll be charged for impersonating an officer or for that matter impersonating a recording artist.

All joking aside, I always thought it would have been the black leather motorcycle guy who would have been the trouble maker of the group.

Also posting about this most serious topic: Mom on a Mission (who humorously says “Young Man Pick Yourself Off of the Ground”) .

Update: 3 years probation. What else?

Sad, I should have warned him he was about to get in trouble when they came to town back in July/August or whatever.

Free concert worth seeing - I wouldn’t pay for them that’s for sure.

FYI- The leather guy (Glenn Hughes) stopped making trouble right around the time of his death. Gus Van Zant recently made a spunky Hughes bio-pic (”Last Days”) that should make a lot of noise come Oscar time. Great review of film at:
