Independent Sources in the Los Angeles Times

The October 16th Los Angeles Times Current Section excerpts from our story: “Have You Killed Someone?” added to the list of things you can’t ask job applicants. In this posting we lampoon the San Francisco Board of Supervisors for their belief that asking someone if they are a felon is an unacceptable bias against the “formerly incarcerated” (the new PC term for ex-cons).

While we are thrilled that they reprinted our list they did leave out this question which we thought was equally funny:

“Can you explain this gap in your resume of 5 to 15 years?”

Even though we are occasionally critical of the mainstream media, we would like to point out that the Los Angeles Times citing of Independent Sources was an example of excellent journalism. We’d also like to note that with a few more plugs like this in the LAT we will be retracting any and all negative comments ever made about our brothers of the pen at the Times and any future references to them will read like movie ad quotations.

Hat tips to LA Observed, Patterico, and Mayor Sam for paving the way.
