We Thought The Answer Was “California’s Most Annoying Elected Official”

Democratic U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer knew she had achieved a new status when she was the question to an answer on the “Jeopardy!” game show, she told The Women’s Democratic Club in Riverside.
The answer: This woman received the third-highest vote total of any candidate for all of the November 2004 elections.
The question: Who is Barbara Boxer?
The note goes on to say that Boxer claims “My stature, although barely five feet, has risen greatly in the United States Senate — since winning 6.9 million votes, the most ever for a Senate candidate.” Unfortunately, our sophisticated online research can find exactly zero references to the words “Barbara Boxer” and “statesmanlike” or “respected” appearing near each other. Perhaps the Senator should rethink whether the lack of reaction to her frequent publicity stunts is really awed respect for her intellect and accomplishments …
