Irony: Looking for a ’steamy’ blog? Check out the feminist sites!

I have enjoyed the first two installments of HBO’s “Rome” and was noodling around the net looking for discussion on the show when I came across Mediagirl.org. Mediagirl is a feminist blog and the reviewer of “Rome” had nothing good to say about the series (a sentiment shared by the commenters). However in dissecting the show they wrote these “critiques”:

* not one, not two, but three different naked women in one episode, all of whom were young and very skinny;
* one woman to position herself in the “doggie” style on a bed for her much older soon-to-be husband to have sex with;
* a long lingering shot of a woman’s breast, with large erect nipple, who is about to breast-feed her baby.

A “lingering shot of a woman’s breast, with large erect nipple” reads like a Penthouse Forum letter and if this is the kind of writing that feminist blogs provide then I would expect that they could be unwittingly developing a large silent male readership.

Addendum: No, we will not provide photos. Watch the show yourselves sickos.
