“Don’t Cry For Me Hillary”?
I’m too tired to even try and be witty so this admittedly old news is going to have to stand on its own merits (so to speak). Bill and Hillary Clinton’s relationship has spawned a musical. Odd? Yes. But then again who would have thought that a story of the hijacking of the passenger liner Achille Lauro by the Palestine Liberation Front in 1985 and the resulting death of Jewish-American passenger would be turned into an opera? Plus if Eva Perón can have a musical, why not Hillary?
Independent Sources wasn’t able to tell too much from the musical’s website about what approach they are taking. If it is from her side, we imagine it as a sort of “The King and I,” if from Bill’s perspective, it will be more like “Les Misérables.”
Click here if you want to hear a short clip of the Monica Lewinsky character pining away (in key of course).
The musical opens in three weeks and closes in four.

Update: there are some very clever reader comments on the Polipundit site putting Independent Sources readers to shame. Among them:
I bet this musical will really suck.
Yeah, and bring the audience to it’s knees….
It’ll go down in history.
I really think Gene Hackman should have been cast as Janet Reno
…will blow the critics away.
…the only play that can’t be performed within 500 feet of a school.
