Weekend Edition: iPod Shuffle 2GB/4GB Accidentally Exposed? Or Brilliant Marketing?

A few months ago, Netflix got a tremendous amount of press when a “Netflix Player” link was briefly exposed on the Netflix website. But was it really accidental? Since that time the stock as sky-rocketed from $16.35 to $21.38 per share. (Okay, we understand the difference between causation and correlation but we weren’t sure that you did, so we threw it in). Is Apple giving it a go? This just in from engadget:

“…some listings have turned up on Shopping.com for both a 2GB and a 4GB iPod shuffle. Neither listing includes any extra juiciness like a release date or pricing, but we’ve been hearing rumors about 2GB and 4GB iPod shuffles since May and supposedly Apple’s planning to announce a mess of new iPods at next month’s expo in Paris.”
