A federal source has confirmed that Los Angeles area terror suspects Gregory Vernon Patterson, 21, and Levar Haney Washington, 25, planned to drive a van to an armed forces recruiting station at 2020 Santa Monica Blvd. in Santa Monica. It appears their plan was to attack the place with rifles while dressed in camouflage clothing and ski masks. Here is the building:
You can see that the building is a typical office building and not a military base. It is certain that many, many bystanders would have been caught up in the spree they were plotting. To make things worse — the recruiting offices moved from this address in June, 2005.

Let’s also remember what Patterson’s mom said right after that arrest: “My son has never done anything wrong.” We beg to differ. At a minimum, conspiring to kill as many people as possible counts as “doing something wrong” in our book. Of course, Scott Peterson’s parents appear to still think he is innocent and he’s already been convicted.
