iBook Riot Aftermath: Concert for iBook “Sale of Destruction” Survivors?
Aftermath of the “Sale of Destruction” (aka the iBook Riot):
- Photos of the Melee (great link KCSA Clan!) (see also our updates at the bottom of our other two iBook riot posts)
- Some of the eBay auctions were evidently pulled before completion. Here is one that was completed for $376.00, not a bad pay day for standing in line for a few hours, shoving some people aside, and possibly urinating on yourself. You have got to love the description of the item: “works 100% greatly.” (Personally, I don’t think I’d buy a computer from someone who wrote like that.). (hat tip: CC Opinion)
- The story was covered across the nation in almost every major media outlet. It’s fair to say that Henrico County was the butt of most of the jokes. (h/t KCSA Clan)
- Eyewitness Account: “What morons did we vote in that are supposed to be educating and setting the example to our children?” (hat tip: Epic Empire)
No word yet on whether Bono will be organizing a concert to support the relief efforts for the riot survivors and more importantly those who were tragically not able to sell a laptop on eBay. Equally important, if there is a concert, will they be priced way below market, and how fast wll we be able to resell them?
