Iranian Broadcasting: The West Plays Favorites With Nuclear Technology

From the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting:

West fears Iran’s nuclear technology

Tehran, Aug 14 - The West fears Iran’s ability in acquiring nuclear technology especially uranium enrichment because it is an important country in the region and would be an example for other countries, said UK’s head of International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) Gary Samore on Sunday.

“Since Iran is the biggest oil and gas producer in the Persian Gulf region which are needed by the world, if it acquires nuclear technology, other countries would cause instability in the region by setting Iran as an example,” Samore told IRIB by phone.

“Although the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has not found any document to prove Iran’s activity in producing nuclear weapons, but the West is very much worried that Iran might one day acquire this technology,” added Samore.

He referred to the West’s double standards in dealing with different countries and said: “The United States tried to control Israel’s nuclear activity at the time of John F. Kennedy’s presidency by assigning its inspectors to Israel’s nuclear facilities but eventually failed.”

There you have it folks. According to the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, President Bush has been lying to us about the dangers of Iran developing and possessing weapon grade nuclear materials. I guess I feel better now. I had been a little concerned that a theocratic fascist government in one of the most unstable areas in the world and a supporter of global terrorism had a nuclear program. However, the official news organization of of the totalitarian regime says this is not the case–so that must be it.

Well…. DUH! We wouldn’t care if Japan or Australia decided to build nukes. We were not too excited when India surprised us with a nuke test, our problem was “Why was our intelligence so crappy?” These nations are not bothering anyone.

Iran supports terrorism and their mullah’s agenda is damned by their own words. Of course we don;t want IRAN to have nukes. They’d threaten to use them to get their way or give some to terrorists.
