LAT Gives Ins and Outs of Outercourse
On the day of the 40 year anniversary of the Watts riots, a day that Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa got together with former Mayor Kenneth Hahn for an official observance at the flash point, a day 40 years ago that started events that led to 34 people dead, 600 buildings damaged and armoured tanks patrolling the streets, what did the Los Angeles Times Points West columnist choose to write about on this day? Outercourse. But of course!
What better way to reflect on that happened in Watts, the lessons learned and the lessons not learned, than to spend an entire column on the ins & outs (so to speak) on outercourse.
Why would the Times take this course, for no reason other than it was a terrific way to once again go after Arnold Schwarzenegger, who according to a feature story on page of of the LAT Front Page is at the center of an outercourse scandal.
What is this “outercourse,” Independent Sources wanted to know? So we turned to Wikipedia and learned (in so many words):
Outercourse is sexual activity that does not involve penetration. No bodily fluids are intended to be exchanged, and outercourse is therefore often considered a practice of safer sex as well as of birth control. Some practices of outercourse include oral sex, sexual roleplaying, heavy petting, clothed frotteurism, and mutual self-satisfaction. Other specific forms of outercourse include:
- auxillary intercourse: putting the penis in the other person’s armpit
- interfemoral intercourse: putting the penis between the other person’s thighs
- Mammary intercourse : putting the penis between the other person’s breasts
- Frotteurism and tribadism: same sex genital-to-genital friction.
Okay, that’s far more than we at Independent Sources really need to know about the subject. If you want to read more on outercourse you’ll need to go to adult Internet sites, Wikipedia, or the Los Angeles Times. Since Gov. Arnold is involved, Independent Sources is predicting a string of LAT articles on all things outercourse.
But what about the Watts riots? Can we expect a Lopez column on that? Unlikely since Arnold was reportedly in Austria at the time.
More on Independent Sources discourse of LAT’s Steve Lopez.

I’m glad that Outercourse is finally getting the attention that it deserves. A few months ago I discovered Sorrelian Mammary Outercourse (which involves my penis between my wife’s sister’s breasts) and it’s been wonderfully rewarding.

I had never heard of the word until reading today’s LA Times. Perhaps the paper has discovered a way to stem their subscriber losses.
