The Daily Show on the ‘Anti-Fatwa Fatwa’

The Daily Show’s Stephen Colbert: “The anti-violence fatwa will be brought to the American public by way of public service announcements like this one …”

(clip of several American Muslims denouncing violence)

Colbert: “Powerful. Let’s just hope the terrorists are up at 3am watching the PAX network.”

Exactly. But CAIR, the sponsor of an anti-fatwa, organized a letter writing campaign against Doug Marlette, a political cartoonist, and those letters included threats of death against Marlette. CAIR has the audacity to ask for an apology by Marlette but they should apologize to him.

The CAIR fatwa, http://www.angelfire.com/ne2/spector/moslem/5pillars/cairfatwa.html, does not adress the basis of the fatwa they are condemning, namely that the Koran, Sura 9 Aya 5 orders the death of infidels and that the U.S. occupies Saudi Arabia (The Saudis tell me they are not occupied). Instead the quote other Suras and leave Sheikh Usamah Bin-Muhammad Bin-Ladin’s fatwa, http://www.angelfire.com/ne2/spector/moslem/5pillars/oswamisfatwa.html unanswered.

I failed to give the web site of Doug Marlette -
http://dougmarlette.com/ that shows his crime against Islam. See “What would Mohammed Drive.”
