Having Killed Laci, Scott Peterson Sets Sights on Killing Wristband Fad
Having killed his wife Laci Peterson and their unborn child, Scott Peterson has set his sights on his next victim, the trendy wristbands worn in support of charitable causes. The website Justice4Scott is now selling blue and red wristbands embedded with the words “Justice4Scott.” As opposed to a charity, like cancer research or animal welfare, the proceeds from the sales of these bracelets are set to go to the Peterson family, evidentally to support his ongoing defense.
If there was one thing that could kill the presumably unstoppable fad started by Lance Armstrong, it would be to associate the fashionable accessories with a murdering scumbag like Scott Peterson. Is nothing sacred to this man?
On the topic of wristbands: Democrats lead in all important wristband category
Update: Welcome Scott Peterson Fan Club (aka “Save Scott Peterson“). We do believe in freedom of speech so your comments are encouraged but please no cussing or sending Scott after us if he ever gets out (we’ve seen what can happen to people he doesn’t like.) For the record, we think all non-Armstrong wrist bands are silly and thought that even before a convicted double murderer hijacked them for his own non-charitable purposes. I also have a question for the Save Scott Peterson folks: what is the fascination with Scott? It strikes Indepedent Sources as a little creepy. Of course he is not the only murderer to have admirers and evidently it is common for convicted killers to get all kinds of fan/love mail from people of the opposite sex. But we just don’t get it. Any insight you want to share with Independent Sources would be appreciated.

Some fads deserve killing, and I praise Scott for taking on the wristband craze. I hope he continues this good work and takes on the camera phone epidemic. Everywhere I go, some jackass is sending a photo to some friend of said jackass. Maybe if Scott uses his camera phone to record his cellmate’s nocturnal intrusions up Scott’s rectum, the fad woul lose its imperative.

what a joke he needs to be strangled with one of those wrist bands what a loser

Certainly one of the better suggestions.

I think its great!! What a great way to support Scott and his family!~

I agree with Mel. What a great idea! More power to people who have the balls to stand up for what they believe in!

What happened to Freedom of Speech? Scott Peterson’s supporters and family have every right to say what they choose, AS they choose. I think some of the above mentioned thoughts regarding the bracelets and Scott show the true mental capacity and lack of lucidity of those who cannot handle living by the principles our great country was built on, one of those principles being,FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
Grow up people.

I agree with Mel Krissy and Missy i give the people who run the website and wear the braclets alot of credit they have the courage to stand up for what the believe they did not listen to all the negative reports inthe media they heard the facts and the fact is there is resionable doubt in this case and they are giving 100% of the money to the peterson family to help will costs which is alot more then i can say about the authors of all thoes books how much money did they contribute to the Rochas and the peterson familys

There was nothing more than an affair and a hair in this case that caused Scott to go to SQ. There was no evidence in this case that Scott killed Laci and their unborn child Conner.
In my opinion this jury gave their verdict on emotions and nothing more. One juror was bounced for admitting she was on the internet looking up information on this case. I am sure others did the same.
They were just “smart” enough not to say anything about going on the net.
I have raised my eyebrow more than once in this case.
I have ordered my bracelet and I will wear it with pride! IMO Scott IS INNOCENT of murder!

Reasonable doubt? Okay, Independent Sources agrees that juries can be pretty random. Michael Jackson and Richard Scrushy are two recent examples (and of course the gold standard would go to the original OJ jury) but our examples are when apparently guilty people got off for reasons that defy logic.
With regard to Scott, we don’t have to play out the entire trial but can we first agree that he was a bad guy? Yes I understand that just because you are a jerk doesn’t make you a murderer but while wife is missing and while the search is going on he’s on the phone with Amber Frey pretending to be in Europe. Second, who in the world had the means and motive to do it if not him? Please do not tell me about satanic biker gangs or other missing women who were abducted under similar circumstances unless you have more to go on than the statements of Scott’s defense attorney. Defense attorneys say stuff like that, reasonable people filter it out when it’s baseless.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with circumstantial evidence especially when there is a lot of it. I know that when people watch law & order and CSI they expect nice clean resolution to cases with very specific and damning evidence. But that isn’t how it plays out in the real world.
I know that Scott Peterson fans will have rebuttals but this guy looks as guilty as sin and has certainy acted like it too.
What I don’t get is what the fascination with him? There are lots and lots of other murderers to focus on. What’s so special about him?

What the hell does it matter to you if they sell bracelets? Is someone holding a gun to your head and forcing you to buy one? The people who sell and buy the bracelets have the right to voice their support of a man they feel was wrongly convicted. And for the ones wishing ill on Scott….it will come back to haunt you one day.

“And for the ones wishing ill on Scott….it will come back to haunt you one day.”
Not sure what that means. Not sure that we care.
“What the hell does it matter to you if they sell bracelets? ”
We didn’t say that they can’t or shouldn’t be sold just that associating the trendy wristbands with a double murderer would probably kill off the trend.
As for Scott, when I think of all the injustices in the world and all of the wronged people, I’m sorry he just doesn’t make the list. You have your causes and we have ours.
August 14th, 2005 at 8:14 pm
Is nothing scared to you? You say you believe in freedom of speech, well these bracelets are a form of freedom of speech.
IMO it has not been proven Scott is guilty of anything but an affair and any way they can raise money to prove that fact and/or to make his life easier until he is exonerated is great as far as I am concerned.
August 14th, 2005 at 8:23 pm
We repeat, Scott’s supporters can sell whatever they like even if we make snide comments. Our postion is that associating the trendy little wristbands with a convicted killer is likely to hasten the death of that particular fad.
Now, as far as “has not been proven,” we appreciate the fact that you wrote “IMO” so we won’t touch that comment as much as we would like to.
August 14th, 2005 at 8:36 pm
Convicted does not mean guilty and that is more than my opinion. Ask the people who are being released from prison after it was proven the jury was wrong in convicting them.
This is STILL America and we are still free to speak our own minds about ANY subject. If people are so small minded that these bracelets will “hasten the death” of any”fad” so be it.

If supporting Scott Peterson is how you want to spend your money and time, knock yourself out. But why waste it on him — a scumbag who slept with a woman the night he met her, while his pregnant wife was home alone? What is the bizarre fascination with this guy?
August 15th, 2005 at 5:01 am
No ” bizarre fascination with this guy” I simply don’t believe adultry deserves the death penality. ALL the trial proved is he “slept with a woman the night he met her” and he lied to her. If we locked up or killed every man that did that this would soon turn into a country of venegful women (who by the way also slept with a man “they met the first night).
Thanks for giving me “permission” to spend my money the way I want to but I really don’t need your permission. It seems it DOES bother you by the simple fact of this site. It’s no skin off your nose or money out of your pocket, so why bother with the site?

I cannot believe that you would feel the need to kick an innocent man when he is down. There was absolutely no proof against Scott Peterson and they bracelets are to help an innocent person in their time of need. I will ask you what makes you so sure he is guilty ? Been watching to much TV if you ask me , brainwashed by the media.
Scott Peterson is an innocent , kind person and does not deserve the hatred such small people direct at him.
I think the bracelets are a wonderful idea and proudly own and wear several!
August 15th, 2005 at 8:18 am
Thank you for the satirical posting.
August 15th, 2005 at 9:06 am
The bracelets are a great idea, between whos selling and whos buying.Scott was convicted on overblown media and over emotional jurors, who obviously can’t follow simple juror instructions(remain impartial , be fair, etc.)My question is why do so many people love to hate a guy they’ve merely been TOLD was guilty , yet have been shown no facts to prove this ? Has everyone jsut become media sheep , following along with whatever they chose to put in your heads? Now THAT is sad!

I have no more fascination with Scott Peterson that I do with any other case I work on. Yes I’m a legal assistant. No I did not work with Geragos and CO. His case attracted my attention with his legal right were being trampled by the media, then by the police who lied so many times I’ve lost count, the prosecution who lied in open court to get hearings, A judge who sits on the bench and says there isn’t any place on the planet to get a fair trial, you’d have to take it to Mars! A jury who is apparently out of control and can’t follow simple instructions. Like starting over when a new juror comes on to the jury panel.
One of every citizens Constitutional Rights is a fair trial. Whether those who scream he is guilty will look at the truth or not is their choice, Mr. Peterson did not recieve anything close to a fair trial. Give him that and it’s hard to tell what the outcome may be.
