Police Debate if London Plotters Were Suicide Bombers, or Dupes
I don’t know why, but I like this theory concerning the London 7/7 bombers…
…some [British] police officials are increasingly considering the possibility that the men did not plan to commit suicide and were duped into dying.
From the Mirror (UK):
Police and MI5 are probing if the four men were told by their al-Qaeda controller they had time to escape after setting off timers. Instead, the devices exploded immediately.
It also reminds me of a similar theory concerning some of the 9/11 attackers.
But let’s get one thing straight, we know they were duped, it’s just a question of to what degree. Also, if true, so much for being willing to die for your cause — perhaps this will give future would-be attackers a little pause the next time their al-Qaeda handler tells them not to worry.
