Villaraigosa Asking For Four More Years Already? He’ll Need To Call Us!
In an article titled “Promises, Promises Could Cost L.A. Millions, Billions,” Los Angeles Times writer Patrick McGreevy enumerated many of the projects new LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa wants to pursue — such as extending light rail to Santa Monica — and writes “… his agenda faces skepticism from some observers who, though confident in his abilities, say he may have promised too much to deliver in four — or even eight — years.”
Villaraigosa may have revealed that he expects to run for re-election with his comment “I’ve never said that expanding the subway to the ocean would be something I would do in the first term.”
Independent Sources wishes the mayor well and hopes that if he needs another four years to work on his agenda and runs again in 2009, he’ll give us a call. After all, we own the domain names “antonio2009.com” and “villaraigosa2009.com.”
