Weekend Edition: Independent Sources Solves North Korea and Iran Nuke Crises
Independent Sources releases its lasting solution to the nuclear threats posed by North Korea and Iran:
Bring back the “No Nukes< ” concerts!
As Rolling Stone raved over two decades ago:
The MUSE NO NUKES Concerts of 1979 were a high-water mark of inspiration and optimism…a stunning testimony to the depth of the shared beliefs of the generation which came of age in the sixties.” Musicians United for Safe Energy (MUSE) is a group of artists and activists working for a non-nuclear future.
Let’s remember the incredible success of those concerts especially the encouragement it gave our society to rely almost exclusively on fossil fuels for our country’s energy needs. Way to go rockers!
This time around the No Nukes team could take aim at the nuclear programs of the totalitarian regimes of North Korea and Iran. Watch out Kim Jong Il and Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei! You thought neo-conservatives were a threat to your existence? Well just wait for the Doobie Brothers, Jackson Brown, and Bonnie Raitt to kick out a jam set of “Takin’ It To The Streets” and then we’ll see who’s laughing.
Readers may be thinking that Independent Sources is stretching a little bit far on this one. Well, let’s not forget that former Doobie Brothers member, Jeff Baxter, is an official terrorism expert for the U.S. government. Coincidence? I don’t think so.
If all else fails, maybe we should try a Fatwa.
