Weekend Edition: Livestrong!
Set your Tivos, Le Tour de France starts July 2nd. Whether you enjoy the sport of cycling for its athleticism and mind-numbing team tactics or if you just like to see an American kick French ass in their home country, this year’s race is not to be missed. It is also the debut of the new Discovery Channel team.
Television coverage is on OLN (check your cable & satellite operator for the channel number, it’s probably in the high 100s and unless you kill woodland creatures for “sport,” you probably don’t watch it).

Independent Sources predictions (you heard them here first):
- Lance Armstrong will win #7. It’s destiny plus he’s been riding great. Even his competitors have commented on it. His #1 threat this year, as in past years, is Jan Ullrich who didn’t look 100% at the recently completed Tour of Switzerland.
- Viewers will become numb from watching incessant OLN promos for the re-run of the first “Survivor.” (Don’t we already know that the annoying fat guy wins?)
- Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen will show once again why they are the best commentators in sport.
