1 Down 10,000 to Go
Killen’s defense: Ironic or Moronic?
When defense lawyer James D. McIntyre accused Mississippi prosecutors of stirring up racial hatred for political reasons, had he temporary forgotten that his client (Edgar Ray Killen) was a Ku Klux Klan member?
Not to tell Mr. McIntyre how to do his job, but I think he looks kind of stupid playing the race card in this of all cases.
Also, it also probably wasn’t the best defense strategy have one of your witnesses say, “ They [the KKK] did a lot of good too. As far as I know, they’re a peaceful organization.”
Good riddance.
