Legal Guide for Bloggers
After reading Independent Sources, no doubt many of you are thinking “If these folks can do it, so can I!” Well the Electronic Frontier Foundation has prepared a Legal Guide for Bloggers just for you.
Like all journalists and publishers, bloggers sometimes publish information that other people don’t want published. You might, for example, publish something that someone considers defamatory, republish an AP news story that’s under copyright, or write a lengthy piece detailing the alleged crimes of a candidate for public office.
You can access the guide here. Of course, as SoCal Law Blog reminds us, a guide is never a substitute for legal advice tailored to your situation. (Via Bag and Baggage).
