L.A. Times vs. Arnold, Nothing New
Just after posting our piece contrasting the Los Angeles Times’ in-house novelist, Steve Lopez, and his non-stop attacks on California Governor Schwarzenegger, Independent Sources came across this data compiled just after the recall election that brought Schwarzenegger into power. You can see that not only are anti-Arnold attacks not new, they are the dominant position of the paper.
L.A. Times vs. Der Gropenfuehrer – Los Angeles CityBeat
…blogger Armed Liberal compiled a useful rundown of eight Times staff columnists and 42 columns they wrote about the recall. Final score: 30 anti-Arnold or anti-recall columns; 11 that considered both sides; a single anti-Bustamante one; and zero pro-Arnold or pro-recall columns.
And the Times’ wonders why subsriptions are down.
Thank you Armed Liberal for the research. Note that Armed Liberal now writes for Winds of Change.
