In our recent moment of glory (two days, actually) of traffic sent by a link from KausFiles to this story about the LA Times blowing its Kerry coverage this week, we saw the names of many interesting organizations in the list of visitors (don’t worry, all we see is your ISP — which at work is usually your employer, and at home Comcast or AOL or the like. We don’t ’see’ individual computers.). We had readers from the U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Supreme Court, the Federal Reserve, Department of Justice, Los Angeles Times (hope they took notes!), USA Today, Chicago Tribune, Boston Globe, and National Review. Also, in a tribute to Slate’s demographics, many top-tier law firms.

But what we missed out on what a visit from anyone at whitehouse.gov. Now we kind of understand that — Slate leans left, and for all we know they have a block on it at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. But in the hope that we can get just one visitor, here a few keywords and phrases that may pop up at the top of their google searches and bag us that trophy:

• bob woodward home phone (… somebody talked for “Plan of Attack!”)

If it works, we’ll troll for the Hillary 2008 campaign next!
