Our Favorite Ward Churchill Site
We love our new micro-targeted world (if only we could figure out how exactly to target this blog!) Years ago, Ward Churchill would have gotten a paragraph a month in the LA Times or other major news outlets; now, we have Pirate Ballerina, the source for all things about our favorite plagiarizing, unqualified, identity-faking professor at a major research university. For those of us who find every new revelation better than a month of Desperate Housewives, it’s the site to visit.
What gives this story its unholy fascination, like a car wreck you can’t help looking at as you drive by? For us, it’s the combination of the ultra-lefty academic environment, so surprisingly uncritical of one of its own + the career advancement via ethnic identity + the rich vein of lying.
This week, with five days of the Rocky Mountain News’ investigation, promises to be especially interesting. Keep up the good work, Pirate Ballerina!
