LA Mayoral Race: Issues? Who needs stinkin’ issues when there is this much mud to sling?

From the Antonio2005.com website comes the charge that the Hahn web site features a graphic that was stolen from the Villaraigosa site. The implication is ‘would you want a mayor who can’t even design his own web site?”’ This charge is sure to hit home with the region’s many out-of-work graphic designers.

(A note and nod to the people who run: Antonio2005.com. You did a good job but we’ll take it from here as Independent Sources owns Antonio2009.com. Let us know if you want to sell us any of your graphics as unlike Mr. Hahn, we won’t just take them).

This story was then picked up by Mad Professah who added this wry commentary:

The main complaint that Los Angeles voters have of Jim Hahn is that he is uninspiring and doesn’t seem to have any new ideas for tackling the city’s numerous challenges. The theft of the graphic is a metaphor which says that the Hahn campaign is so out of ideas that they are even copying graphics from the Villaraigosa campaign.

Like a wild fire (okay, a small wild fire) it then spread to MyDD who threw in their own two cents:

Is this just general laziness, or a lack of regard for the rules? Either way, it’s reflective of the willingness to cut ethical corners that has pervaded the Hahn administration.

No doubt others are blogging about it as well. However, to be fair and balanced, we need to make sure that we don’t fail to also cite some of Mr. Villaraigosa’s less than honest campaign maneuvers in the last few weeks. Click here for those.
