http://huffington.isfullofcrap.com or “Why Jim Lampley Should Stick To Sports”

Huffington’s blog is generating a lot of buzz and comments. Unfortunately the buzz is overwhelmingly negative and the comments are going up on shadow sites put up by people unimpressed with her effort. Our favorite so far is http://huffington.isfullofcrap.com/

The huffington.isfullofcrap.com blog asks who is the idiot of the day (from the blog) and I have to tell you that it’s a close call. However, I think I have to go with Jim Lampley who proposed that because the Las Vegas odds makers were mis-predicted the 2004 Presidential Election that the election results must have been tampered with. Yes, that is what he said. It’s like saying, “Odds makers expected the Lakers to win by 10, they lost by 2, therefore the score must be wrong.”

Before reading Jim’s entry, I thought he was a pretty good guy. Not now. Either he’s very misguided or he should fire his ghost writer.

Actually this brings up a very big problem we have in this country. No, not clueless sports commentators-turned-bloggers. It is the seemingly endless need for people to perceive themselves as victims. Instead of saying, “hey we lost the election, let’s not let it happen again,” way too many in the left are saying “we were robbed; the election was stolen; it wasn’t our fault; we didn’t do anything wrong!” The danger here for Democrats is that by playing the victim card nothing is learned that can help them in the next election. Instead of getting a platform that people want to vote for, they will focus on making sure that all ballots are triple counted. In comparison to this, Hillary Clinton’s “let’s give felons the right to vote” looks absolutely brilliant, but that’s another story.
