It is hard to believe that in the post 9/11 world there are still IRA apologists and supporters in the United States. The Irish Republican Army is both a terrorist organization and a criminal gang. There can be no debate on these characterizations. Just in the past six months the IRA committed the largest heist in British history ($50m) and added another murder to their body count (now somewhere around 3,000 people since 1970). This last killing was committed in a crowded bar to which the IRA instilled the code of omerta on more than 70 witnesses and then offered to shoot the four individuals suspected of being involved.

As a country, shouldn’t we be against organized crime and terrorism?

Britain is our #1 friend and supporter. How would we like it if English citizens directly and indirectly supported al Qaeda the way that many of our citizens do the IRA?

Northern Ireland is not a repressed land, it is a fully represented province of democratic Britain. Why is this fact lost on IRA sympathizers.

The IRA is composed ideological leftists who have trained and communicated with virtually every major terror group in the world. Despite this they raise tens of millions of dollars in the U.S. and their “political wing” maintains the longstanding support of politicians such as Senator Ted Kennedy, New York Representative Peter King and others.

Enough is enough.
